I have started getting organized so I can finish a few of the (very) long running projects I have on the boil. You can keep up to date with the arty things here on good old DeviantART. For everything else check out my blog at scissorwish.wordpress.com I bang away about my book and being a Stay-At-Home Dad and all sorts of stuff.

Thank you for all those who have, over the years, checked out my stuff. Thank you also to those who have come back to check out any new stuff I have been doing... which hasn't been a great deal of late. Still, am working on some things now that I will maybe finish and finally post. Don't hold your breath, I have a busy and terribly interesting life, dontcha know? Well, I find it interesting.

Wow, not only have I been gone a long time, but I just wrote a huge journal entry full of witty prose and clever insights, and then somehow deleted it. Bugger. Here is the abridged version.
Moved from cold place to warm place in the sun.
Not painting as much as writing novel for YAs and children's book.
Illustrating and sketching heaps of characters, scenes and ideas for both books.
Also cartooning for local (and totally awesome) coffee roasters and cafe, espresso Botero in Maclean, NSW (Australia). They are fantastic for the following reasons:
1. They pay me to draw cartoons
2. They seem to really like what I do
3. They are very understanding of the hours I can work for them (given I am a home dad with a new bub), and place little, to no, expectations on me ever setting or making a deadline
4. They are just lovely people
5. They make the best coffee... ever. I'm not kidding it is really good.

No, not dead, just resting.  Have had a crazy, busy year which is no excuse whatsoever for not submitting anything for the last forever months.  Thanks to everyone who has added me to their list, and for those of you still bothering to see if I ever produce anything ever again.  I expect to be more prolific soon with a Tree Change coming up for me and the family.  We are leaving the city and moving to an island (formed by a river, so an inland Island, if you see what I mean).  4 acres of hills and bush on a big river, should be very interesting, and plenty of inspiration and scope for new and exciting paintings.  So there you have it, big changes for me, and I'll still have Broadband so will have no excuse for not posting all my newest creations.  It will also have a purpose built studio overlooking the river. Yes, yes, I know.  You're all extremely jealous. I understand.  I'll try my best not to let myself and you all down by actually painting something, maybe even something good!  Will add another entry when we arrive with any first sketches.
